Rockman has been missing since July, hibernating and restless ever since the 2024 episode of Birth of a Legend. But this weekend, the Race Directors—whom Rockman cheekily refers to as the “Race Dictators”—had the privilege of meeting him once again at the shores of Fantahåla.
As we began discussing next year’s edition, we sought Rockman’s guidance on reintroducing a shorter course and a trailrun course. He approved—on one condition: that it must be COLDER and HARDER than ever before! He rumbled on, declaring, “It was never meant to be easy!” And with that, the legend has spoken once more.
With Rockman’s blessing, we invite all past, present, and future Rockwomen and Rockmen to join us for another legendary experience in the world-famous Lysefjorden in July 2025. This year, we’re offering not one, but two brutally cold and rocky swimrun courses and one equally as hard trailrun course. All three will test your limits, just as Rockman demands.

This legendary trek starts with a ferry jump into the fjord beneath the Flørli 4444 Stairs and finishes back at Basecamp. Note: This is not an identical course to 2023. Designed for teams only, it’s a true test of mental and physical endurance. With only 63 spots available (due to ferry limits), the stakes are high.

Starting and ending at Basecamp, this hilly, rocky path is an adventure for teams and solo athletes. Rockman guarantees that while it might be shorter than the 40 km course, it will NOT be easy. You’ll be amazed by the terrain, the challenges, and of course, the cold.
Prepare to cross crystal-clear, ice-cold lakes and fjords, scale daunting stairs, ascend rocky hills, and conquer towering mountain plateaus. Your weapons? A wetsuit, running shoes, your body, your mind, and, if you’re lucky, a teammate by your side.
